The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.
The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to use it even if you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of check here your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does the job well. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively, without getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
