The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain.
